Hickenlooper Raises Nearly $1.4 Million in Q1 2026, Starts Year with $4 Million on Hand

Hickenlooper is the only Colorado statewide candidate to raise more than one million dollars each quarter since Q1 of 2025

More than 80% of donations were $25 or less

COLORADO – Today, U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper reported that his campaign raised nearly $1.4 million in the first quarter of 2026 and has more than $4 million cash on hand for his 2026 reelection campaign. Hickenlooper leads the other statewide candidates in Colorado as the only candidate to raise more than one million dollars each quarter since 2025. His campaign continues to receive strong grassroots support, with more than 80% of donations being $25 or less.

“We received tens of thousands of donations and each one was an outcry against President Trump’s policies. Our president promised to reduce prices and lower inflation. Instead, we’re facing a national cost-of-living emergency while the president wages an illegal war. He expects the American people to borrow $200 billion to pay for it, even though his massive tax cuts for the rich and powerful will already increase our debt by trillions of dollars. He doesn’t seem to realize – or care – that he’s terrorizing the global economy and hurting Americans,” said Hickenlooper. “We’re fighting for all Coloradans. We stopped his public land sell off, refused to give ICE another cent, and blocked MAGA’s voter suppression bill in the Senate. We’re building the momentum we need to beat MAGA this November and stop Trump’s lawless and reckless imperialism.”

Last month, Hickenlooper officially qualified for the ballot with nearly 15,000 signatures from Democrats across Colorado.

Hickenlooper has also continued to build a strong coalition needed to defeat MAGA and keep Colorado blue.

He announced that his campaign would release 90 endorsements in the 90 days ahead of the June 30th primary election. He’s already been backed by major Colorado voices, including Colorado legend and former Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar. He’s also received endorsements from leading progressive organizations, including Reproductive Freedom for All, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, NRDC Action Fund, Brady PAC, GIFFORDS PAC, End Citizens United and Let America Vote, League of Conservation Voters Action Fund and Conservation Colorado, and 314 Action

His campaign keeps reaching out to voters all across Colorado, including in Grand Junction, Arvada, Fort Collins, Durango, Pueblo, Fort Morgan, Jefferson County, Colorado Springs, and more.

Last year, Hickenlooper also raised $100,000 for the Colorado Democratic Party to help build the strongest grassroots organizing effort ever to hold President Trump and MAGA Republicans accountable for their reckless policies that increase prices and rip health care away from millions of Americans.

Hickenlooper’s campaign has already received donations from each of Colorado’s 64 counties this cycle.
