With Millions Losing Their Health Care Coverage, Hickenlooper Calls on Senate to Get to Work

After new reports revealed over 5.4 million Americans have lost their health care coverage during the coronavirus pandemic, and Colorado’s uninsured rate shot up 20 percent, John Hickenlooper is calling on Senator Gardner to drop his support of the Trump administration lawsuit and work to protect health care coverage.

“It is the height of lunacy that anyone would support taking away health care during a global pandemic,” said Hickenlooper. “While Senator Cory Gardner is on his two-week vacation, Coloradans are losing their health care. Not only does Senator Gardner refuse to take action, he supports Trump’s lawsuit to overturn the Affordable Care Act and threaten health care coverage for 2.4 million Coloradans. Coloradans’ health care will not be safe until we change Senators.”
