Today, John Hickenlooper announced he has earned endorsements from local African American leaders from across Colorado, including Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and State Representative James Coleman.

- Angela Garland, Cherry Creek School Board Member
- Stephanie Mason, Aurora Public School Board Member
“As the June Democratic primary approaches, I am voting for John Hickenlooper for the US Senate,” said Mayor Michael Hancock. “I’ve been fortunate enough to see his work up close, uniting mayors across the Denver Metro area to make FasTracks a reality, deliver affordable health care for people across the state, and rebuild Colorado’s economy while honoring every Coloradan. We need more leaders with strong executive experience, who know how to get things done and John is definitely that kind of leader.”

Today’s endorsements join an ever-expanding list of organizations and officials supporting John’s campaign for Senate because they know he’s the best candidate to defeat Senator Gardner and make Washington work for Colorado. Just this week he was endorsed by the Congressional Black Caucus PAC, Greater Metro Denver Ministerial Alliance, Stacey Abrams, and U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar.
