Hickenlooper calls for Gardner to uphold commitment and keep his word, not cave to pressure from Trump
Today, Hickenlooper for Colorado released a new video highlighting Senator Cory Gardner’s comments from 2016 when he said — 9 months before the election — that it would be too close to an election to nominate a Supreme Court Justice and the American people’s voice should be heard. President Trump went on Fox News this morning and pressured Gardner to break his word, and Gardner so far has refused to say whether or not he will keep his commitment.
John Hickenlooper has called for Senator Gardner to keep his word and uphold the precedent he set four years ago.

Sen. Gardner won't answer the question himself though. He's dodged it 7 times.@SenCoryGardner, will you cave to Donald Trump? Or may we suggest your answer from 2016? pic.twitter.com/l1Qx205I8D
Cory Gardner in February 2016: “The next president ought to choose the Supreme Court nominee.”
“The next president ought to be making this decision.”
“This nominee should be chosen by the American people.”
“I would like to make sure the next president gets the opportunity to make that decision.”
