Following McConnell’s Advice, Gardner Refuses to Say if He’ll Keep His 2016 Commitment
This morning on Fox News, President Trump said what Coloradans have known for years: Senator Cory Gardner is “very, very loyal to the party.” [VIDEO HERE]
Over the weekend, Gardner ducked and dodged at least five times questions on whether he’ll stick to the standard he set for himself in 2016 and let the President elected in November make the next lifetime appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court.
In his first Senate campaign, Gardner struck a different note, promising Coloradans that he’d stand up to his party — something he’s failed to do time and again.
When it comes to the nation’s highest court, will Gardner keep his word and let voters have a say? Or will he put Trump and Mitch McConnell ahead of Colorado, like he’s done so many times before?
All we’re hearing is cowardly silence.
