Today, President Trump said the quiet part out loud and confirmed that he and Senator Cory Gardner are rushing Amy Coney-Barrett onto the Supreme Court in the middle of an election, saying “I hope that they end [the Affordable Care Act]. It’ll be so good if they end it,” which would also end the law’s protections for 2.4 million Coloradans with pre-existing conditions.
Last month, Mitch McConnell called Gardner “the key vote,” in their scheme to ram through this anti-ACA Supreme Court nominee. The Court will hear a case to overturn the health care law on November 10th, one week after election day.
John Hickenlooper released the following statement:
“Health care is on the ballot. President Trump and Cory Gardner are rushing through a Supreme Court nominee in the middle of an election with the goal of ending health care protections during a pandemic. I’m urging every Coloradan to get out and vote like your health and the health of 2.4 million Coloradans with pre-existing conditions depend on it. Because they do.”
