“Former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper told Puebloans on Saturday said he wants to emphasize the importance of small business throughout his campaign for U.S. Senate.”
“‘I am different than anybody else in this race in that I’ve been a small-business person pretty much my adult life — and I’ve never ran for any office until I was 50 years old,’ he said at the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Pueblo, 215 S. Victoria Ave, where he championed the role of Latino entrepreneurship in the nation’s future.”
“‘Pueblo has always been such a key part of my political life. I am a small-business person — and to get a chance to come and hear all about Latino small businesses, which are the fastest-growing category of small business in the country — this is my home. This is like a home game,’ he said.”
“Hickenlooper answered questions from chamber members on issues that included creating workforce-ready education, political polarization, disappearing professions, transportation and health care coverage for employees of local businesses.”
