Today, six more state and local leaders across Colorado are announcing their support for John Hickenlooper’s campaign. They join several other endorsers who have switched their support from Andrew Romanoff to Hickenlooper in recent weeks, including former Congressman John Salazar, former State Representative Sue Schafer, and Arapahoe County Commissioner Bill Holen.
The new endorsers include:
- Former Otero County Commissioner Leroy Sandoval
- Former Mayor of Brighton Dave Rose
- Former Brighton City Councilor Wilma Rose
- Hayden School Board Member Medora Fralick
- Hayden School Board Member Tammie Delaney
- Former Aurora City Council Member Deborah Wallace
“Hickenlooper is genuine, a people person, and a good person. He follows through with what he says, he doesn’t talk just to talk,” said former Otero County Commissioner Leroy Sandoval.
“We are supporting John Hickenlooper because we need a U.S Senator with common sense solutions to the many issues facing Colorado and the nation at this time,” said Wilma and Dave Rose. “John is a rational problem solver that will help make the transition to a more sensible government for all citizens.”
“I’m honored to earn support from leaders from every corner of Colorado,” said Hickenlooper. “Working together, we’ve expanded access to health care, kept the doors open at rural hospitals, and became one of the first states to implement universal vote by mail. We need to bring that same Colorado leadership to Washington.”
