In Pueblo this weekend, Colorado Senate President Leroy Garcia publicly announced his endorsement of John Hickenlooper’s bid to be Colorado’s next U.S. Senator.
“I’m excited to endorse my friend John Hickenlooper for the U.S. Senate,” said President Garcia. “I’ve had the opportunity to serve with John over the last several years as a State Representative and State Senator. On issues from health care to renewable energy and infrastructure, he has been a true champion for Colorado and Pueblo. I know he’ll be a U.S. Senator who can bring people together to actually get things done.”
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of President Garcia in my campaign for U.S. Senate,” said Hickenlooper. “Leroy exemplifies the Colorado spirit of public service and fights tirelessly for the people of Pueblo and Southern Colorado. I’m thrilled to have him on my team as we campaign across the state to change Washington.”
President Garcia is not Hickenlooper’s first high-profile endorsement from the Pueblo area. He is also honored to have the support of Representative Bri Buentello.
