John released the following statement on the murder of George Floyd and the protests his killing sparked in Denver and across the country:
John also participated in a forum sponsored by a coalition of organizations led by people of color. At the forum, John discussed racial justice and announced his new Equity for All platform. At a time when the nation is gripped by the murders of Black men over the last few weeks, it has become more critical than ever to address the inequities that pervade our system.
Resiliency for Mountain Economies Means Protecting Public Lands
The Glenwood Springs Post Independent published an op-ed from John on why protecting public lands is key to building economic resilience in mountain communities as we recover from COVID. John writes that passing the Colorado Outdoor Recreation and Economy (CORE) Act and opposing the expansion of the limestone quarry outside of Glenwood Springs will help rebuild our outdoor recreation economy better than it was before.
