John Hickenlooper released the following statement on today’s Colorado Supreme Court decision upholding the state’s ban on high-capacity gun magazines, which Hickenlooper signed into law after the tragic Aurora theater shooting:
“In Colorado, we took on the NRA and won to pass life-saving gun safety measures like a ban on high-capacity magazines. I’m thrilled that the Colorado Supreme Court has upheld this life-saving policy — and now we need to bring these same results to Washington. It’s time for Republicans like Senator Cory Gardner to stop blocking common sense gun safety legislation and start addressing the epidemic of gun violence that has plagued our communities for far too long.”
John has a proven track record of working to address gun violence and he will do the same in the U.S. Senate, earning him endorsements from Giffords PAC and Everytown for Gun Safety.
