Gardner is dodging questions instead of calling for a fair, bipartisan investigation to uncover the facts of the president allegedly using his office for his own political gain
John Hickenlooper, candidate for U.S. Senate from Colorado, released the following statement on the release of the whistleblower report regarding President Trump’s discussion of a political opponent with the President of Ukraine.
“Today’s release of the whistleblower report confirms the importance of the House’s impeachment inquiry to get to the bottom of these egregious allegations. It’s disturbing to think that the President may have subverted our nation’s foreign policy to advance his own personal political agenda, and it is also alarming that our U.S. Senator will not hold him accountable.“
“I’m particularly troubled by the whistleblower’s claim that Trump Administration officials tried to ‘lock down’ records of President Trump’s call with the Ukrainian president. This sort of coverup is absolutely unacceptable. Yet again, I am calling on Senator Gardner to stop going along with the coverup and speak out demanding a full inquiry with all relevant national security, intelligence and White House officials and outside advisers testifying in full. No phony privileges. No coverup.”
