John Hickenlooper released the following statement after Senator Cory Gardner repeatedly refused to stand up against Donald Trump’s attacks on the United States Postal Service. President Trump admitted on Fox News that he wants to weaken the USPS to target mail-in ballots across the country.
“Today, we saw yet another example of cowardly silence from Senator Cory Gardner when he refused to speak out against President Trump’s attacks on the USPS. Senator Gardner was elected by vote by mail, and he knows Trump’s lies are dangerous. His silence shows a blatant disregard for those who rely on the post office for prescription drugs, to sell their products, or rural Coloradans who can’t always get deliveries from private carriers. Colorado deserves better.”
