Hickenlooper is working to defend his Senate Seat, help flip Colorado’s Congressional districts
COLORADO – Tonight, U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper won the Democratic Primary for the U.S. Senate, with 57% of the vote when AP called the race. Hickenlooper now faces Lauren Boebert’s hand-picked candidate, “MAGA Mark,” in the general election. Read more about MAGA Mark HERE.
State Senator Mark Baisley proudly backed Trump’s extreme agenda. Baisley has defended ICE’s violence, attacked the LGBTQ+ community, tried to ban gay marriage in Colorado, and spread Islamaphobia.
After his win at the Republican Assembly, Baisley delivered a speech centered on pushing his extreme views like creating a national ban on abortion, attacking “gender studies,” and overturning common sense gun control.
HICKENLOOPER IS FIGHTING TO PROTECT COLORADO
While his extreme challenger won’t stand up to Trump, Hickenlooper is fighting to win back Congress and win re-election in Colorado.
He helped stop Trump’s public lands sell off. He’s called out Trump’s violent immigration police. He has refused to fund ICE, shown up at ICE facilities for oversight visits, and helped Coloradans get released from ICE detention. Hickenlooper helped introduce legislation to force their agents to take off their masks and protect schools, hospitals, and places of worship from raids. He’s fought off Trump’s plans to give handouts to election criminals like Tina Peters from his $1.8 billion slush fund of taxpayer money.

“Today, Coloradans have once again made their voices clear: we’re not going to accept Trump’s broken promises and cost-of-living emergency or his corruption,” said Hickenlooper. “We have 127 days until polls close on election day to work together and deliver Trump a resounding defeat.. But, stopping Trump is just the beginning. We need to un-rig the system and deliver the big solutions that Coloradans deserve.”

Since being elected, Hickenlooper has also rolled up his sleeves to address climate change, bring down costs for Colorado families, and force corporations to pay their fair share. He helped negotiate and write the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the largest investment in fighting climate change – EVER! He secured billions for Colorado to make housing more attainable, lower the cost of drugs for seniors, address the Colorado River crisis, and fight wildfires.
