“If it were not for John Hickenlooper, I would not have health insurance today”
Today, Hickenlooper for Colorado released a new TV ad titled “Everything” highlighting John’s record of expanding health care to 500,000 Coloradans. In the ad, Coloradans share their relief after having acquired health insurance and thank John for his efforts to expand health care coverage.
Just this morning, the U.S. Supreme Court announced it will hear arguments on the lawsuit Senator Cory Gardner supports to overturn the Affordable Care Act on November 10th — a week after the election. If this lawsuit succeeds, it could rip away insurance from the thousands of Coloradans who gained coverage through Hickenlooper’s Medicaid Expansion and eliminate protections for the millions of Coloradans with pre-existing conditions.
Also this morning, John published an op-ed in the Colorado Sun outlining his plan to protect the ACA and continue to expand access to quality health care and lower its costs.
