Days after Senator Cory Gardner’s campaign was caught running a Facebook ad “touting his close relationship with President Donald Trump” everywhere except Colorado, Hickenlooper for Colorado launched a new digital campaign to promote the ad Gardner tried to hide from Colorado voters:
Gardner’s increasingly desperate campaign attempted to deny their targeting was intentional by trying to claim that the Trump ad just didn’t perform well with a Colorado audience — thus admitting that Coloradans don’t like Trump.
“Not only is Senator Gardner trying to hide his unwavering support for Trump from Coloradans, his campaign actually claimed that even Gardner’s own Facebook audience dislikes Trump!” said Alyssa Roberts, Hickenlooper for Colorado Deputy Communications Director. “Once again, Senator Gardner has failed to be straight with Coloradans because he’s too afraid of the president he has stood with 100%.”
