Today, the Hickenlooper for Colorado campaign and Colorado Democratic Party announced two new senior hires who will help lead Hickenlooper and Democrats to victory across the state in November. Cyrus Shick will serve as the Colorado Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign Director, and Justin Lamorte will be joining Hickenlooper for Colorado as Senior Advisor.
Cyrus Shick is the Colorado Democrats’ Coordinated Campaign Director. In 2018, he occupied the same role on the Missouri Coordinated Campaign for Senator Claire McCaskill, where he led a record-setting field program which knocked on over 2.7 million doors. Cyrus has previously worked on and led field programs across the country in states including Iowa, New Hampshire, New York, Tennessee, & Michigan.
Justin Lamorte is Senior Advisor to Hickenlooper for Colorado. He was Deputy Political Director at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in 2018, where he advised campaigns for Democratic Senate challengers Kyrsten Sinema and Jacky Rosen who flipped seats in Arizona and Nevada and Senator Jon Tester who won a tough re-election in Montana. Previously, Justin was Deputy Political Director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Independent Expenditure in 2016, and Campaign Manager for Raja Krishnamoorthi’s successful bid to succeed Rep. Tammy Duckworth in Illinois’ 8th District. Earlier this cycle, Justin was campaign manager for Dan Baer’s primary campaign for U.S. Senate.
“I’m proud to announce that Cyrus and Justin have joined our team as we’re building out our operation and gearing up for victory in the general election,” said John Hickenlooper. “Their experience across the country and here in Colorado will serve us well as we grow our campaign to bring change to a broken Washington and fight back against Senator Gardner and Mitch McConnell’s attack machine.”
