NEW AD: Hickenlooper “Took a Stand to Expand Voting, Not Suppress It”

Today, Hickenlooper for Colorado released a new TV ad, titled “Vote.” The ad highlights John’s work to expand voting rights as Governor — including signing universal vote by mail in Colorado — and he calls out Washington Republicans for trying to block access to the polls.

“When I was Governor, we took a stand to expand voting, not suppress it,” said Hickenlooper in the ad. “But the Republicans have a national strategy to block you from voting. And we have a Senator who stays silent. That’s gotta change.”

HICKENLOOPER: “In Georgia, they waited six hours. In Wisconsin, in a pandemic in the rain, they waited.

“The right to vote is under assault in this country. Particularly for black people. When I was Governor, we took a stand to expand voting, not suppress it.

“But the Republicans have a national strategy to block you from voting. And we have a Senator who stays silent. That’s gotta change.

“I’m John Hickenlooper. I approve this message because I want your voice to be heard.”

Please note, this ad was produced by strictly following CDPHE and City of Denver safety guidelines, including maintaining at least six feet of distance and wearing face coverings while on site outside of Hickenlooper’s home. Hickenlooper also wore a mask between takes.
