Today, on the 47th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Hickenlooper for Colorado campaign released a new digital ad highlighting John Hickenlooper’s long record of fighting for women’s reproductive freedom in Colorado.
While other states were restricting access, Governor Hickenlooper successfully expanded access to IUDs and implants, ultimately lowering Colorado’s teen birth rate by 54 percent.
But Senate Republicans have consistently voted for President Trump’s rigid judicial nominees who are undermining health care protections and basic reproductive freedoms. In March, the U.S. Supreme Court will consider a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade — the first since Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation cemented an anti-choice majority.
This a four-figure ad buy across Instagram and Facebook.
“This constant assault on women’s reproductive rights is horrific,” said Hickenlooper. “We went out and expanded women’s access to IUDs. It’s a fundamental, inalienable right that women should have control over their own bodies.”
