“For Sale” rejects President Trump’s corruption, highlights Hickenlooper’s defeat of Republicans’ public lands sell off
COLORADO – Today, U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper’s reelection campaign released their first broadcast TV ad, “For Sale,” to uplift how Hickenlooper is fighting to stop Donald Trump’s corruption and how he prevented Trump from selling off three million acres of public lands to pay for MAGA’s $4 trillion tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy. In addition to being on air, “For Sale” will be up as a streaming and digital ad as well.
“Trump’s corruption is as widespread as his broken promises,” said Hickenlooper. “Last summer, we defeated his mind-boggling idea to auction our public lands to help pay for his extravagant tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy. We refuse to let Trump rig the economy and the law while families struggle with Trump’s cost-of-living emergency.”

Last summer, Trump and MAGA Republicans proposed selling off more three million acres of public lands in President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill.” Hickenlooper helped lead the fight against the proposal and successfully got the provision stripped from the legislation. Hickenlooper has been outspoken against the Trump admin’s other attacks on our public lands, including their cuts to National Parks and Forest Service staffing and their attempts to overturn the Bureau of Land Management’s Public Lands Rule. He was also the first senator to publicly oppose Trump’s pick to lead the BLM, Steve Pearce, a proponent of public land sales.
Hickenlooper has also fought back against Trump’s widespread corruption. He is working to stop the president’s $1.8 billion slush fund for criminals like Tina Peters and the January 6th rioters. Read the Op-Ed in MS NOW he penned yesterday about Peters walking free HERE.
He’s called out the president’s unwanted war and introduced a bill to prevent insider trading on war to stop the anonymous insiders who made millions betting on Trump’s war. Hickenlooper has refused to fund ICE, shown up at ICE facilities for oversight visits, and helped Coloradans who are detained. John has helped introduce legislation to force their agents to take off their masks and protect schools, hospitals, and places of worship from raids.
Hickenlooper is fighting to bring down costs and stop Trump’s cost-of-living emergency. He is working to get Americans refunds from Trump’s illegal tariff-taxes.
His campaign has more than $4 million cash on hand for his 2026 reelection campaign, after raising more than one million each quarter since 2025. His campaign continues to receive strong grassroots support, with more than 80% of donations being $25 or less.
