Hickenlooper Announces More Endorsements from Colorado Legislators

Sen. Jeff Bridges (Arapahoe County) and Rep. Dylan Roberts (Eagle and Routt Counties)

Today, as John Hickenlooper’s campaign for the U.S. Senate continues to build momentum, Democratic state legislators from the Western Slope to the Front Range announced their support for John Hickenlooper’s campaign for the U.S. Senate. State Senator Jeff Bridges and State Representative Dylan Roberts both endorsed John’s campaign to bring change to Washington.

“We desperately need people in Washington with a proven ability to bring folks together and find real solutions to the challenges we face,” said State Senator Jeff Bridges. “John Hickenlooper is that person. He has shown time and again his tenacity and his ability to deliver for hard working Colorado families.”

“I have seen up close John’s commitment to protecting Colorado’s public lands, lowering Coloradans’ health care costs, and so much more,” said Rep. Dylan Roberts. “He’s the right person to send to Washington to be our next Senator so we can finally pass the CORE Act to protect Colorado’s expansive outdoor beauty, take on climate change, and continue the fight to protect health coverage for those with preexisting conditions and expand access to care.”

“I am grateful for the support from these dedicated public servants,” said Hickenlooper. “I look forward to working with them to take Colorado’s successes to Washington, to combat climate change, protect Colorado’s public lands, and stand up for Colorado’s working families.”

The duo join an ever expanding list of Colorado officials supporting John’s campaign for Senate because they know he’s the best candidate to defeat Senator Gardner and make Washington work for Colorado. Other local endorsers of John’s campaign include former U.S. Senator Ken Salazar, Congressman Ed Perlmutter, State Senate President Leroy Garcia, State Senators Brittany Pettersen, Jessie Danielson, Kerry Donovan, and Rhonda Fields, and State Representatives Julie McCluskie, Bri Buentello, and Tom Sullivan.
